Color palette reference

Colorful Color Palettes

A colorful system is easier to maintain when color variety is paired with strict roles. Give the surface and type system enough calm space so the accents remain distinct.

Useful for

  • Education, community, and creative products
  • Campaign pages and launch moments
  • Illustrated cards and category systems

Pairing notes

Use neutrals for most of the interface and choose only one or two accents per component. For categories, standardize lightness and add labels so the colors are not the sole signal.

Contrast note

Multiple bright colors create many possible contrast failures. Test text and icons in their real context, and do not rely on hue alone for status or navigation.
