Color palette reference
Coffee palettes create a sense of texture from warm darks and lighter dairy or paper tones. They work well for brands that want richness without high-energy saturation.
Use espresso as an anchor, caramel for emphasis, and cream for content surfaces. A restrained green or blue can add separation when the brown family starts to blend.
Brown-on-brown is a common failure mode. Use large enough value differences for text and controls, and do not treat a cream tint as automatically high contrast.
